Brave is a 2012 American computer-animated fantasy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film was directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman and features the voices of Kelly Macdonald, Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson, and Julie Walters.
The movie is set in medieval Scotland and follows the story of Merida, a skilled archer and princess who is unhappy with the traditional expectations placed on her by her mother, Queen Elinor. Merida defies her mother's wishes and seeks the help of a witch to change her fate, but the spell she receives has unintended consequences that threaten her family and the kingdom.
